The Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) exam is offered by the Oncology Data Specialist Council (formerly part of the National Cancer Registrars Association, NCRA). It is a national certification exam for cancer data professionals and tests your knowledge of cancer registry operations, coding, staging, and data management.
After completing the Cancer Data Management program at San Jac, you may be eligible
to apply to take the ODS exam. Earning this certification can help demonstrate your
skills to employers and may improve your job opportunities in cancer registry and
healthcare data roles.
No prior experience is required. The program is designed to teach foundational healthcare
and cancer data management skills step by step.
