Maximum Hours By Semester

Students are limited to the number of credit hours they may take during the spring term based on the total number of calendar weeks. The maximum number of calendar weeks is 16. The way to calculate the number of hours is to determine the calendar weeks of your courses and refer to the chart below. Do not duplicate the weeks. For example: If you are in a 4 and a 16-week part of term, your calendar weeks are 16 because the 4 week is contained within the 16 week maximum. The part of term identifier prints on the Schedule/Bill.

The Admissions Office will run reports to identify students who are registered over the maximum hours and will notify them by email to adjust their schedules. If the schedules are not adjusted by the student, the Office will drop the last course(s) for which the student registered until the appropriate number of hours is reached.

The total maximum credit hours is 18 hours for the Full term and/or the combination of parts of term unless completed a mini semester course.
